It was my first time swimming out to Backdoor to shoot. The sky was overcast, and Pipeline was overhead. After checking the waves, my buddy Jayden and I swam out with our cameras. Right as we got out into the water, a larger set came through, and I slipped under the first wave, shooting above and below the water at once inside the barrel. This frame came from that moment.
